These vineyards are between 30 - 40 years old, careful selection of the grapes for the blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Fermentation in concrete to give the wine purity of fruit and typical varietal character. Maturation is split 50/50 between concrete and oak for 12 months. Nose dominated by fruity aromas of blackcurrant and blueberries, also a spicy character. The palate has a rich and structured mouth feel, where dark fruit, pepper and vanilla oak flavours develop. Balanced yet powerful and lingering aftertaste.
