A beautiful Pomerol. This has intense raisiny richness from a blend of 80% Merlot that is balanced by a backbone of 20% Cabernet Franc. Lower yielding 40 year old vignes give intense rich fruit and lower volumes which are beautifully enhanced by aging in new oak barrique for 12-16 months depending on the vintage. Subtle flavours of plum, red berry and liquorice on the palate are nicely balanced with long and complex soft tannins.
