The Sichel family revived the fortunes of this pretty white lakeside chateau. The combination of sand and gravel soils found in this area of southern Margaux are ideal to support both Cabernet Sauvignon and a high proportion of Merlot, which contributes a softness and supple texture to the wine. The wine is characterised by a perfumed bouquet of redcurrants and sandalwood, with complex flavours of sweet spice, mushroom and game, finishing with soft ripe tannins.
